My Beautiful Little Princess

As everyone knows, Robbie is our little Superhero and Lauren is our Little Princess. Well, at TWO YEARS OLD, I think it's gone to her head! AAH! I think we have a problem on our hands! :) Lauren loves being a princess. She loves big poofy dresses and she dances around like a ballerina. She has always preferred dresses and has worn a dress nearly EVERY single day for probably the last two months. Well, I went to target the other day and they were having a sale. I bought her two pairs of shorts and two shirts for 89 cents each!!! Well....this morning...I put a pair on her since we are heading over to Redondo Beach. You would think that it woudln't be a big deal. A little girl wearing shorts....girls wear shorts all the time! Well, here's the outcome of her new outfit!!

Sigh. She spent the next hour dragging around her princess dress begging me to put it on her! I guess we'll have to go to Target and show Lauren that Barbie's wearing shorts too! Sigh!

Lauren's Gymnastics Class

Rob has been bugging me for weeks now to take pictures at gymnastics so I finally gave in and took my camera! Unfortunately, the day that I bring a camera they don't have the rings set up! Figures, just my luck! Guess i'll have to try again next week. Lauren's class always starts out with jumping on the long trampoline. Her teacher is very creative with all these new ways of going on the trampoline, but Lauren spends most of her time running. She has a mind of her own!
They go from the trampline to the obstacle course.

Every week it is a little different but always a lot of fun! This is where she practices her sommersaults and bridges.
Then we move on to stretching time. Lauren LOVES stretching!!! Okay, so she can't stand it. She does her butterflys then is done. She spends most of stretching time dancing like a ballerina. Like I said, she has a mind of her own!!
After stretching we have free time. This is when they have the rings and uneven bars open. Today, Lauren did the uneven bars. She did a lot better today. She walked all the way across it by herself and then swung down.

Then her teacher helped her walk up the wall into a pull up. Then she did a little flip but I didn't catch that on camera.
During this time Lauren also likes to jump into the great sea of giant foam blocks. So much fun for the kids!!
Class ends with Parachute time. Lauren loves it when all the kids sit on top of it and the parents walk in a circle. She calls it ring around the rosies.
They get a chance to sit under it, jump around and then everyone including the parents goes underneath it, holding it tight to make a tent. This is when the parents help the kids to sit ups :). Lauren does about 2 before getting distracted.
Class ends by taking a train ride to the front of the room where they all line up on the yellow line to get a sticker.
Lauren was very excited today because her sticker was Little Mermaid. What a fun class!! Hopefully next week i'll be able to put a picture up of her swinging on the rings by herself. She really is very cute as she yells, "i'm wonderwoman!"

Disneyland!!

Rob received a phone call Friday night from his friend Jacob. Jacob is currently working up at Pixar. He asked Rob how he was doing and Rob said..aah, work. Jacob then said, "You sound like you need a vacation...well, I have one for you!" He then told us that he had 3 extra disneyland tickets for the next day. The new finding nemo ride doesn't open until Monday, but friends and family of Pixar employees had a chance to preview it early!! We were sooo excited to go! Here are the first pictures as we are taking the tram to disney!

We met Rob's friends at the park and went right over to the Nemo ride. Unfortunately, it broke down right before we were supposed to get on the next submarine. Although, we were able to go on twice later in the day. Here are some sneak peaks.... (sorry, we couldn't take any pictures during the ride)

Rob was most excited to go on the new Pirates of Caribbean ride since we hadn't been on it since they had redone it. He loved it, and Rob, Robbie and Lauren sang the Yo Ho, yo ho song throughout the whole ride! Here's another little sneak peak for those who haven't seen the changes! :)

I bet you can guess what Robbie's favorite ride was!! :) He loved the Buzz lightyear ride. We were able to go on this ride twice. Lauren also liked to hold the lazer gun but she never quite caught on that she was supposed to do something with it.
My low score doesn't accurately represent my amazing talent with the laser gun. This was our first time on the ride so I spent most of it taken pictures! If I really tried my hardest, of course I would have beaten Rob! Lauren really did go on this ride...I have proof below!

All in all, we had tons of fun! We went on Nemo twice, Pirates twice, Buzz lightyear twice, Matterhorn (yep, Lauren and Robbie both road this), Peter pan, and Indiana Jones (separated because kids were too small). We ended our night with a fabulous fireworks show. A great show that Lauren slept through!
