Family Dinner
My sister in law in one of her blog posts talked about their first dinner in her new house. She mentioned that all-in-all it was quite successful. I decided that I would tell you about our first dinner. My brother had a similar move-in dinner experience as we did, which required an extra level of creativity. We were really excited to be at our new place that we didn't care that we didn't have anything moved in. We were just glad to be out of our old house. We decided that we were going to make ourselves dinner because we didn't want to have to spend money going out to eat. We brought chicken, bread and noodles to eat. Well, when time came to make dinner, we realized that we weren't quite as prepared as we had expected. Yes, we had all the food to make a meal, but we didn't have a frying pan, a cookie sheet, or even any cooking utensils. So, lo and behold be went on to cook a fabulously tasty meal with a muffin tin, small sauce pan and plastic fork. Oh the beauty of being creative! Luckily the meal was quite tasty...tasty enough that we put it on our repeat list! Yum yum!

Our house
We LOVE our new place! The kids think its wonderful and I think the dogs are in heaven with all their new space. In fact...I am writing this post in the backyard while the kids are swimming in their giraffe pool. Here are a few pictures of our place.....
This the view of the front of the house. (duh, i guess.)
Our lovely front yard with a hibiscus plant and two gardenia plants! Yippee!
My silly monkey in his giraffe pool with a view of the backyard grassy area.
The lovely concrete slab that is next to the grass area and by our two car garage.
Our beautiful garage...there is a lot more stuff in there now that it is full of boxes!!
Second door on the left is our laundry room....right is the garage.
Our apricot tree. Robbie now has a daily chore of picking up the apricots. I don't have a picture of the lemon tree, but it is on the other side of the yard.
Our living room. The door you see is the front door.
Partial view of the den with a fireplace. This will be my scrapbook room. :) Yippee! That was my main requirement in a house.
Well....we also have a dining nook, two bedrooms, bathroom and a kitchen. I'll spare you from a million more pictures! Just one more....Here is our newest addition our house!!

That is our new home in pictures. We are excited to have found sounds a great place in such an amazing neighborhood!
Awwww....how cute. I think this is a good sign.

My dear sweet boy...
For those of you that know me, you know that I try to claim my kids as MY own. They both look just like me....my baby pictures are identical to their pictures. We are...or would have been I guess, practically twins. It doesn't matter how many people have told me..."wow, they both look just like their father"...it doesn't matter...because really, they look just like me. Well, I was up in Belmont this weekend and I was proven WRONG!! Yes, yes, I know...for the first time in my life, I was wrong. I will admit...Robbie looks like his father. Carly and I were going through old family albums when I came across a really cute picture of Little Robbie...only....it wasn't Little Robbie. It was Rob when he was little Robbie's age. Ask Carly...I practically jumped out of my chair with amazement. I made Little Robbie take a picture holding the photograph so you could decide for yourself. To me....he looks like he is holding a picture of himself!

My dear Robbie....so I can't claim you as getting your good looks from me, but you are still my sweet, wonderful, loving little boy. I sure love you!!! Here are some more pictures of my Robbie.
