Thanksgiving Feast

It is almost Thanksgiving time and it is definately the time of year when we truely think about the things in our life that are most important to us. We have been talking about this quite often in our family. Robbie often stops to ask us what we are thankful for each day. Of course, Lauren and Robbie's answers typically revolve around superheros, princesses and food. I guess those things are really important in life! There are so many things that I am thankful for.

1. I am thankful for Rob. He is such a wonderful person and completly the most perfect match for me. How did I get so lucky??
2. I am thankful for Robbie and Lauren. They NEVER cease to make me laugh. They are so sweet, loveable and so much fun!
3. I am thankful for my Mom and Dad. They are the best ever! I've been thinking about them a lot recently because its been simply too long since i've been to see them. Maybe I need a private jet or something because I just miss them so much!
4. I am thankful for Krissy, Robbie and Emily. Even though I don't get a chance to talk to you guys on the phone as much as I would like, I think about you all the time! I miss seeing you guys!
5. I am thankful for the most easy going, selfless, kind, simply wonderful in-laws any girl could hope for! We owe so much to your help and kindness!
6. I am thankful for our new house. Hopefully not to worldly...but we are blessed to live in such a great neighborhood with a wonderful backyard so our dogs and kids can enjoy it!
7. I could go on forever...but I am sure that no one would get to the end of my post if I did...I guess ultimately, like my Grandpa always says...I am thankful for the four most important things in my life.... Faith, Family, Friends and Freedom!!

----------------------------Thanksgiving Feast--------------------------------------

Robbie's school had a wondeful Thanksgiving Feast today. They have been spending many weeks preparing for this event. They had each come up with their own Indian names. Robbie was Big Chief. They made drums, shirts, shakers, headbands, necklaces, turkey table decorations, napkin holders and more. In the beginning they had a cute little program where the talked about the First Thanksgiving. After this, we were able to have a great feast. Here are some pictures from this fun event!

The story of the first Thanksgiving. Robbie was a Pilgram during this part.
The kids sitting around the "fire" for song time. They were all shaking their shakers and beating their drums.

This was the turkey that Robbie made for the table!

This last week, Robbie and his friends were asked to do acts that were Helpful, Kind or Brave. They earned 5 feathers for doing this. In this picture Robbie is being awarded his eagles claw that was placed on the bottom of his necklace.
Whole lot of really cute Indians!!
