Family Dinner

My sister in law in one of her blog posts talked about their first dinner in her new house. She mentioned that all-in-all it was quite successful. I decided that I would tell you about our first dinner. My brother had a similar move-in dinner experience as we did, which required an extra level of creativity. We were really excited to be at our new place that we didn't care that we didn't have anything moved in. We were just glad to be out of our old house. We decided that we were going to make ourselves dinner because we didn't want to have to spend money going out to eat. We brought chicken, bread and noodles to eat. Well, when time came to make dinner, we realized that we weren't quite as prepared as we had expected. Yes, we had all the food to make a meal, but we didn't have a frying pan, a cookie sheet, or even any cooking utensils. So, lo and behold be went on to cook a fabulously tasty meal with a muffin tin, small sauce pan and plastic fork. Oh the beauty of being creative! Luckily the meal was quite tasty...tasty enough that we put it on our repeat list! Yum yum!

The melted bits of plastic fork were what made the meal so delicious! It was a plastic culinary masterpiece!

Thats awesome! I must admit that mine is not a true move in story because I moved in all my kitchen stuff last March. Maybe I don't truly qualify :)

You can do anything with a little creativity. What is best is that you are in your new place!!!

I only ever have about 15 minutes a week on a computer and so I try to check a few emails and then rush off. We should be getting internet axcess soon I hope. sheesh. ANyway, I want to get all caught up in your life. Where are you? :) ~kare
