Deck of me: CHANGE

The challenge for this week is CHANGE. Change for me is a funny thing. Months ago it was very unwelcomed. I felt comfortable in my life and change just meant taking me away from my comfortable. Today? Change is welcomed and sought for. What does my card mean? It shows my current desire for change. Maybe some of you recognize the place in the picture. This is one of the walls of my house. This is actually what one of the walls of my house currently looks like. This is the second time in the last two months that our house was graffitied. So what does change mean for us now? Well, after spending time with our property being surrounded by three cop cars with four guys in handcuffs, being graffitied twice and having our car broken into... change means a possible move. Who knows what comes next but we've been looking at a few places in Redondo Beach.

Oh, I like this card!!!! Too bad though...all the graffitie, and other stuff, that it results in you might be moving.

And I thought that you liked art... I am so disappointed. ;) It might be a smart time for a change... I hear it is the cool thing to do.

Melissa I am so impressed with you. Through all of this stuff that is going on you have remained so positive. You are a woman of strength and I envy and admire your courage and your ability to adapt. You may not like change, but you sure hide it well because you always seem like you are up for anything. You roll with the punches! I admire you greatly!!

It sure has been fun getting to paint that wall over and over! Standing on the toilet to listen through the little bathroom window to the officers question the guys in front of our place was fun too! Apparently they were from a rival gang and sure enough, comparing the most recent graffiti with those past it was different. The begged the cops to give them a lift out of the "hood." The cops made them hoof it! So we don't really want to be where the turf war is.

As to Redondo... we are beach people! And Hermosa/Redondo have the quietest and most beautiful beaches.

To all our friends... we will be just over the hill. It's not a bad drive at all... about 25 minutes! So don't forget us ;) We still want to maintain our friendships and hang out and do book clubs!
