Nutcracker

Lauren loves to dance. If there is music playing, she will be dance. We could be at the grocery store, a movie, or in the car and she'll be dancing to the music. Starting at the new year Lauren is going to be in a new ballet/tap class. They do two performances every year. In the winter they perform the nutcracker. I decided that it would be fun to have a mommy/daughter date and go to the nutcracker together. We got all dressed up. Lauren insisted that I wear my "up" shoes and then left Rob with the other two for a few hours of girly fun. We had a wonderful time together and Lauren loved the performance. I don't think she quite knew what to expect but when the first dancers came on the stage, she was beaming! She especially loved intermission, because I suprised her with a cookie and some flowers. Here are a few pictures from our day.  (In a very odd order...)

A special visitor.....

Benjamin was screaming, Rob was late coming home from work, and the kids were busily cleaning their destroyed bedroom. Everyone was grumpy. Except me of course...always cheery. :) I was trying to hurry the kids up so I could get them to bed because I just desperately wanted to sit down and relax. I had been noticing that there were an extra amount of sirens outside. Then these sirens came onto our street....loud speaker announcement....and I remembered. SANTA!

I was happy.  Kids were happy.  Thank you Santa, for bringing our home some holiday cheer!

Thanksgiving Vacation

I wish that vacations could last longer. I love every opportunity to get more then a two day weekend with Rob not working. 4 days was nice.... but longer would have been better! Rob wasn't able to get any extra days off of work, so I drove to Belmont with the kids on Monday and Rob flew out Wednesday night. I was nervous to drive with 3 kids by myself but it actually went really well. Except Robbie throwing up the whole way. Oddly, that made it quite easy on me because since he wasn't feeling good, he was so mellow that the kids didn't fight at all! We had no traffic and made it in great time.

Thanksgiving vacation was especially fun because all of Robbie, Lauren and Benjamin's cousins were in Belmont. They always have so much fun together and its sad that we cant live closer to them. The kids would have so much fun.

Here are some pictures from our trip:
