The "bump"

So I normally wouldn't post these pictures because I really don't care for pregnant pictures of me. Especially those in-between is she pregnant or just gaining weight type stages, but i've gotten plenty of requests to see if I really LOOK pregnant. At this point in my first two pregnancies...I could still fit into a lot of my regular clothes and never did really grow into maternity clothes. With this pregnancy, its been completely different. My regular clothes started getting tight around week 15 and now at week 25 I am starting to fit comfortably into my maternity clothes....So here it is....the "bump."

And of course....today was the first day of school for summer session for Robbie and Lauren. They are in a siblings class so they go together which is really nice. We also have a lady in our ward in the class with her kids and I friend of Robbie's from Pre-K so it should be a great summer. As always, here is there first day of school picture.

Catching Up....

I'm a bit behind on some of the things we've been doing recently! Lets see...where to start. I guess there are two main things i'll blog about. 1st, my folks were able to come visit and we had a lot of fun with that. 2nd, I won preview passes to the new California Adventure toy story mania so I have some pictures from that.

We always have all kind of adventures when my parents come visit or when we go to visit them. This time was especially fun because we were able to see some places that I had never been. We drove down to San Diego, got hotels and stayed two nights. We went to both Lego land and the San Diego zoo. But most importantly, we found the worlds most yummy fried ice cream. Sorry again, dad. (we were sharing and I gobbled it up so quickly that he hardly got any.)

I'm not sure if I liked Legoland or the zoo more, because obviously, they are both very different. I think my favorite part about legoland were the mini villages. They made cities from the United States out of legos and it was amazing. They used some odd million legos to build these. Lauren's favorite part was the fairy tale ride, because sleeping beauty was in it, and Robbie's favorite part was probably uncovering the dinosaur bones. Luckily my dad had his camera because mine broke while we were there, so most of these pictures are from his camera.

The zoo was really fun and we learned lots of interesting facts...like when a koala is born they are the size of a fingernail! Amazing! Robbie and Lauren also found a new love while we were at the zoo. PANDA's! This is now their new favorite animal. I do have to say that they look very cuddly, but i'm still convinced its just a person in a costume. They are just too adorable to be real!
We were also able to spend some time at the beach with my folks and they were able to go to one of Robbie's t-ball games where they let him try pitching. He was very excited about that!
At the beach, my parents showed the kids how to find sand crabs which is always a big hit. I think at one point the released 10 at the same time.
I sure wish my parents lived closer! We always have so much fun with them and I just dont get to see them enough. I have so many more pictures but its been slow to load right now, so I guess I'll stick with these!

PART TWO
Like I mentioned earlier, I won passes to a preview of Toy Story Mania at California Adventure. We had a certain day and time slot that we had to go. We LOVED the ride. We went on it 5 times! Unfortunately, Rob had to work so it was just me and the kids. Basically, on the ride you are wearing 3d glasses and playing arcade games with your blaster. Hopefully the lines aren't too long when it opens because this one is definately worth trying out! Here are some pictures from our day.

Gaining wisdom from Herbal Tea....

I was looking at the back of our herbal tea box, and this is what it said...

"If I had My Child to Raise Over Again"

If I had my child to raise all over again, I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less.

I'd do less correcting, and more connecting.

I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.

I would care to know less, and know to care more.

I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.

I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.

I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.

I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.

I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.

I'd teach less about the love of power, and more about the power of love.

Robbie's new toy

I've been wanting to get Robbie a new bike for awhile now. He's been riding his hot wheels back since he was 3 so I figured it was time for an upgrade. I took him to toys r us to have his pick of bikes and this is what he chose...the selling point?....a water bottle hooked to it!
